News - Volcanoes are the topic for St. Palladius Pupils - Jan 2014...
The P6/7’s at St Palladius Primary School have recently been learning about the Landscape of Scotland. So I, Educational Ranger Pete, Boustead went in to school and talked to the children about how things like glaciers and volcanoes have shaped the country over millions of years.
For a practical session the children made their own volcano from dough, and then made it erupt using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. Pictured are pupils with their very own erupting volcanoes.
